A quick update

I got these pictures together for a blog post before we left for Asheville before last weekend but never got the post done! So here is a quick update up until our previous weekend. Going back a few weekends -

Several of us hosted a bridal shower for Megan at our house. Waylon took the kids to Grandaddy's house (Nana was at the beach with her friends) so they had a great time. The shower was really nice and we had fun, too!

All the hostesses and Megan

The next day, we had a playdate with Savannah. Always fun!

I also went to a movie later that afternoon with my friend Jenn. That was a nice afternoon away for me!

The following week was pretty typical except that Waylon took Wednesday off and took Noah to the Durham Bulls afternoon game. They had so much fun and it was such a special father/son thing for them to do together!!

That Thursday evening (May 19th), my parents came into town and the following day, the Steiners flew into town! We were so excited to see them. They are our really good family friends (more like an aunt and cousins) and we hadn't seen them since we went to Disney World two years ago!! Noah was not quite 2 and I was pregnant with Kylie so they'd never even met her.

Jimbo was acting like the snake was getting him and Noah and Kylie thought it was hilarious!

We went to dinner and then they went back to the lake with my parents afterwards. A really fun but short visit with them.

The following day was our 6 year anniversary so Waylon's parents came to babysit that night. We went to a nice dinner in Chapel Hill. We don't usually go out that way since it wasn't too close to our old house but we are now more central so it's fun to try out new areas!

That Sunday, we decided the kids needed to get wet cause it's been so hot so we set up some water toys in the front yard (the back yard is still not quite ready to walk on after being sodded a few weeks ago).

Ready to play!

I absolutely love this shot - and gotta love the construction site in our next door yard! :-)

The following week, my mom came back to town on Thursday to stay through the weekend (she and my dad kept the kids last weekend when we went to Asheville for Megan and Dave's wedding). Thursday night after school, we went straight to our pool for the opening party! We are so excited that the pool is open now. It's so great and we are going to spend lots of time there this summer!

Friday morning, my dad flew back into town and we took off to Asheville.... another blog post to come for that trip!
