Trying to stay on top of posts!

Yay, I'm getting one in before another weekend goes by! :-) A quick update on our past week.

First of all, here are some cute pictures from last week. Kylie is really big into her baby doll right now. She loves to carry her around and put her in the stroller and cover her up and take care of her. It's so sweet to watch.

I think Noah had just gotten up from his nap in this picture. :-)

On Friday morning, we went over to play with Megan and Ryan at their house. On the way, we saw a coyote!! He was very close to the road and I stopped (we were on the side street near their house); he turned around, looked right at us and posed for the picture! It was crazy. At first I wasn't sure if it was in fact a coyote, but when we got to Megan's house, we looked up a picture of one and there was no mistaking it! Wow. Ever since then, Noah has been wanting a toy coyote so we've been looking all around for one. :-)

We played for a while and then decided to go out for a walk.

Then it was time for a show before lunch. I think everyone was getting tired. :-) Kylie took a 4 hour nap that afternoon! Crazy.

Cutie Patootie Ryan

After soccer on Saturday morning, we went to visit the house. They are almost done with it! The only things left are a few small details - built in for TV niche, screens for porch, landscaping - and touch ups. It's crazy that we close in a month (and two days to be exact!). The reality of the situation is really starting to sink in. Especially since the kids and I are heading out of town next week for almost a week (going to MD and Waylon will meet us up there for the weekend), then I'll be home for a few days and then back out of town to a bachelorette party in Charleston for the weekend. Then when I get back from there, we'll only have 2 weeks!!

Tech center built in

Saturday night was a treat. Andrea's birthday was Friday, so they had a party at their house on Saturday. Since Nana and Grandad were keeping Savannah, we got Chelsea (a teacher from school) to come over to our house to babysit. We went out to a nice dinner and then went to their house. It was really fun!

Sibling love

More sibling love! :-)

Sunday morning was a nice lazy morning at home and then that afternoon was more celebration for Andrea's birthday! Waylon ended up getting tickets to a State basketball game so I took the kids and went by myself. It was lots of fun!

Waiting to watch Andrea open her presents.

Blowing out candles. The kids had fun wearing party hats - the only ones Kay could find were Winnie the Pooh 1st birthday hats! :-) It was pretty funny.

The birthday girl and her silly family. :-)

Noah enjoying his cake and ice cream

And Kylie REALLY enjoyed hers!!

After that mess, it was straight to the bathtub! Here they all all cleaned and 'jammied' and Noah says. Since we tell him to 'get dressed' when it's time to get jammies on he says, he needs to 'get jammied'. :-)

And as always, a few books before time to head home for bed.

This week, we switched up the daycare days to Mondays and Fridays (as requested by the director there). Since they have been so flexible with us during the past year and a half, we couldn't really say no. We aren't really sure what's going to happen with daycare anyway once we move and I find a job, etc anyway. We are so ready to be more settled!! Anyway, they went to school on Monday and I had a meeting with someone else from the staffing agency. Then in the afternoon, I tried to start sorting through the garage and re-packing. Like I said, we are so ready to be settled!!

So today is the third day in a row at home with the kids alone for me. It's been really nice! Even though yesterday, Kylie decided not to nap AT ALL! That was crazy. She fell asleep in the car for a half an hour at 11 and I guess that was enough to put her off. She ended up going to sleep a little early last night but then was up bright and early this morning. Hope this isn't some kind of phase! We'll see.

She's definitely getting more and more of a little personality. She's much more reserved and shy than Noah - especially around strangers. She takes a bit to warm up. Once she does though, she's very expressive. She now knows lots of body parts and can communicate with us one way or another for almost everything she needs. She uses lots of words - yesterday she was calling BABY!! clear as day. And when she thinks she hears Waylon coming home, she'll scream 'Daaaaddy' and run for the garage door.

Here she is pointing to her belly button

This is the tail end of her 'I don't know' hands. That's the newest thing I'd say. If you ask her where something is, she'll put her hands up as if to say, 'I don't know'. I just think this picture is so sweet. :-)

More baby love

Snack time.

A little later in the morning on Tuesday, Jacque, Elizabeth and Jacob came over to play. We had fun and had lunch with them before naps. Here are Kylie and Jacob outside. I didn't manage to catch one of Noah and Elizabeth!

Yesterday, we went to visit Nana at work. We picked up lunch and ate in her break room. I think she enjoyed showing off the kids to all of her friends and coworkers and the kids loved seeing her there, too!

Not sure what's in store for us today! We shall see! :-) Hope you all have a good one!
