Moving week!

So again, it's been a long time since I posted but we've been super busy with moving! But first, a little catch up from a few weeks ago...

Craft time with the kids! Kylie would twist her whole upper body when she was coloring! So cute. :-)

This session, Noah is doing the 'Little Pros' class at Dreamsports on Fridays. He gets to try out basketball, baseball and soccer. This way, he'll know a little better what he's interested in. He LOVED basketball and I only expect the same from baseball this week.

Kylie had fun watching the warm up routine...

After class, we met Megan and Ryan at the park to play and have a picnic. For the most part, the weather is getting nicer so it's been nice to be able to get outside more...

That Saturday, Savannah came to play for a bit before we went out to dinner at Bass Lake with Nana and Grandaddy too!

We have all of our valuables packed already!

Think this picture is adorable!

Then moving week.... we got the kids in daycare all week last week so we could really work on the move. Turns out, Waylon had to work quite a bit so I pretty much did most of it (with lots of help from family, of course). Monday, I packed all day and loaded up the back of my car. Tuesday morning was our final walk-through and then closing. Then I brought a load over and got some things unpacked. Wednesday, I got a few loads over in the morning and then my mom met me at the house with another load from MD! She came down to help us out and it was such a great help! We spent most of the afternoon trying to disperse all the boxes and unpack some. We picked up the kids and had an easy dinner at the rental house that night. Thursday, Kay came to help also and we got most of the rest of the stuff at the rental over - clothes, kitchen - pretty much everything except the big stuff. Then the afternoon was spent getting the kitchen organized - that was a huge job. My mom did all the shelf paper and Kay helped me arrange. I can't thank them enough for all their help!! Waylon got the kids that night and brought them to the new house. It was the most amazing thing. I had been in and out of the house for two days trying to get things organized but when the kids walked in, it really felt like home! It was so fun. We ordered pizza (Grandaddy came to join us also) and we even had a dance party after dinner. :-)
Then, Friday, the movers came. Still a busy, tiring day but it was nice to mostly direct and not have to carry much!! :-) Dick also took off that day to help and disassembled the whole playset! Another HUGE help! Because we did things throughout the week, we were fairly settled by Friday night. The kids were so excited to see all their stuff here when they got home from school that day! We ordered Chinese that night with Grammy, Nana and Grandaddy. So fun.

So by the time Saturday came around, we were ready to relax a bit. We had a little bit of a lazy morning. Papa arrived bright and early (he flew in) and my parents were going to take the kids somewhere but we ended up just playing at home. I worked on the playrooms and the books while the kids were sleeping and got everything pretty much organized inside (the garage is a different story).

Saturday evening, Andrea, Sean, Savannah, Nana and Grandaddy joined Grammy and Papa and us for our first cookout here! It was so fun to entertain here and the kids had a blast as always!

And of course, we ended with another dance party! :-)

Big hugs goodbye :-)

Sunday morning was another fairly lazy morning....

... until my parents took the kids to the park. Waylon and I went to the rental house to make sure everything was up to par there and also ended up running some errands and buying some rugs which was very exciting for me! :-)

Pics from the park...

After the kids' naps on Sunday, we headed down the street to the cul-de-sac where we learned that there's always a party! :-) I had a meeting about swim lessons for the kids (one of the parents organized a teacher to come to our neighborhood pool to teach this summer) and all the other parents and kids were out in the cul-de-sac in front of their house. Apparently, it's just understood that all the toys are all shared there and there were so many kids! Everyone is so nice and we are thrilled with the whole situation!

Kylie found this bike and helmet and wanted to ride!

Back at home. A family portrait on our new porch!

Noah had collected some walnuts so Papa helped him break them apart to get the nuts out.

So, it was a busy week but very successful! I even had two phone interviews last week and had a face-to-face interview today! Things are moving along there but time will tell what will come from all that. We are so happy to finally be in our dream home. We love it and so do the kids! I'm planning to take some good pictures of the house tomorrow so maybe I can get them on here for a virtual tour! :-) In the meantime, we are ready for visitors!! Come see us!
