First illness and head control

Noah is battling a very minor case of pink eye right now. It's not bad at all, but he was having some drainage from his eye, so I took him to the doctor and they prescribed some antibiotic eye drops. I thought that was going to be torture trying to get in his eye, but it's not that bad! He doesn't really seem to mind it so much.
He has been much more fussy at night and we had a few bad nights where he woke up crying a few times and didn't want to be put back down. That could have something to do with his eye or he could just be going through a phase. We are struggling with naps these days, too... he's much more interested in playing than sleeping! Last night was a good night though. He slept from 7:30 at night until 7 am... only waking up at 3:00 AM to eat. He seems to be wanting an earlier bedtime these days. That doesn't leave much time for Daddy after he gets home, but he does get a little snuggle time!
Yesterday, I got Noah a Bumbo so he can practice his head control. He seems to like it... I guess! :-) He seems to always get this look on his face when the camera comes out.... he looks like a deer in headlights to me!

Adorable!

Okay, I know I'm biased, but come on... how cute is he?! :-)

Woops, I rolled over!!

Noah rolled over today - both ways!!

It was on the bed, so I think my weight pushing the mattress down helped a little. He was trying really hard to go from his back to his front, throwing his arm and leg over to the side over and over again... but then he finally made it!!

Then he was laying on his front, propped up on his arms, and he threw his head to the side and his whole body just flopped over and he was on his back! His eyes kinda got wide but I was smiling and laughing and saying YAY so he started laughing. I'm not sure he meant to do it, but he did.

It was really cute. :-) I hope he'll show Daddy tonight.

Crazy Week

Nanny nanny boo boo - I didn't get sick (yet!) and you did!!!

I'm sorry it's been such a long time since I've posted anything. Last week was pretty crazy. Waylon and I both got a horrible tummy bug and it's been spreading like wildfire! Somehow, Noah never got it, but we've managed to pass it on to all 4 grandparents! It makes me feel extra lucky that I never had morning sickness when I was pregnant with Noah cause that was just miserable!

Here are a few cute pictures from two weekends ago that I've been meaning to post....

watch the first Redskins game of the season

Such a big boy!!

This past weekend, Noah and I went up to my parents' lake house at Lake Gaston. This was our first trip away from Daddy, so that was hard. We really missed him but I think Waylon struggled the most. It was hard for him to be away from Noah for 4 days! It was a big weekend for Noah. I even took him in the lake for his first swim!! He seemed to like it... he kicked around some, too.

Here are some pictures from the weekend....

Ready for a swim!

Noah is changing every day, right before our eyes . It's such a fun time.... he's talking and cooing all the time now and he's recently started squealing, too. He smiles and laughs and is really starting to enjoy his toys. It's amazing to watch him take in the world and learn new things all the time.

Another Fun Weekend

This past weekend, Julie and Ali flew from Maryland to come meet our little man. They are friends of mine from high school - actually, I've known Julie since 6th grade and Ali since 9th! We had a busy and very fun weekend.

They arrived on Saturday morning. That afternoon, we all went to introduce Noah to NC State tailgating. Saturday was the first football game and Waylon was super excited. We ate North Carolina barbeque and enjoyed a few cold beverages... well, Noah's drink was more like body temperature, I'd say. :-) Here are a few good shots from the tailgate.

Ladies Man:

Sunday was the day without Noah. It was the longest I've been away from him in a day. That afternoon, Julie, Ali and I went to see the Bodies exhibit and shopped around Southpoint Mall for a while. That night, Waylon's parents babysat while we all went out with Cory, Jennie, Dave, and Megan for dinner and drinks. I missed Noah a lot, but it was fun to get out without him some, too.

Waylon and I have very few pictures of us as just a couple anymore... here's a good one from last weekend...

On Monday, we had lunch at Sammy's - a bar and grill near NC State that Ali's cousin owns. After lunch, we took Ali back to the airport. Julie stayed until Tuesday. We were tired from a big weekend and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon. We took her to our favorite little Mexican restaurant that night. Noah and I took Julie back to the airport on Tuesday morning. What a great weekend!!

Here are a few good shots of Noah with his visitors! Thanks, Julie, for all the great pictures from the whole weekend!

Noah and Ali:
This morning, Noah and I went to our first Mommy and Me yoga class at Namaste Yoga Center. It was a lot of fun! Noah really enjoyed the interaction and was actually pretty good throughout the class. He got a little fussy at the end of class but only because it was nap time, so he just fell asleep!
My prenatal yoga teacher, Mandi, is teaching the class. It's been fun to get to know her and the other girls who were in the prenatal class with me. We've all been keeping in touch through our blogs and emails. It's nice to have new friends in general and even better that we all have kids about the same age.
Here's one last cutie patootie shot of Our Little Noah!
