Our past few weeks

We've still been laying pretty low around here the past few weeks.  Don't get me wrong, we stay busy but just not as crazy busy with 'real' events as we were over the holidays.  I've been really busy at work so that's added an extra layer of hectic during the weeks but our weekends have been pretty easygoing.  I still missed taking pictures at a few events but did much better since my last post!  :-)

So, going back to the week of the 23rd (my last post!)...

Our friend Anise came to stay with us that week which was so fun.  She was working here (lives in Charleston now) for the week so it was fun to have her.  The kids really loved having her, too!  And we did a girls dinner on Thursday night which was so great (no pictures with her - bummer).

That Saturday, we did a pizza night at Nana and Grandaddy's.  We often get together on Sundays but decided to do a Saturday instead that week.  It worked out well and was nice because we didn't feel like we had to rush out early to get back and ready for Monday morning.  As always, the kids had a blast playing together.

Watching Cinderella on *Uncle Sean's* iPad (I don't claim that UNC cover)  :-)
Books before heading out for bedtime....

Sunday morning was a lazy one.  Kylie was being silly 'sleeping' on the stairs...

And Noah did a new yoga DVD that Aunt Leah gave him for Christmas...
Sunday afternoon was Maddie's 5th birthday party.  Noah was so excited to see her, Stella Dot and some of his other friends from his old school.  It was a dance party and Noah was one of only two boys but he didn't seem to mind at all.  :-)  Kylie was a little shy at first but warmed up in the end and got into it also!  Such a fun time.

Even though we don't see Maddie and Stella Dot much anymore, Noah still talks about them all the time.  I guess we played together so much when he was little, it's been burned into his mind.  I think it's pretty cute.  If ever anyone asks him if he has a girlfriend, he ALWAYS says, 'Maddie and Stella Dot!'  :-)

Cake time!  Noah had to have the prime viewing spot

Sweet Kylie girl just had to have the purple tutu

Dancing!

The following weekend, I didn't take any pictures at all but we went to Andrea and Sean's on Saturday night for dinner and playtime and then we went to a neighbors house for a Superbowl party on Sunday.  That was fun because they have a 9 year old who was so excited about watching all the little ones.  She had their bonus room all set up with a movie and blankets all over the floor and a coloring station.  :-)  Everyone had lots of fun!

My big excitement that following week was getting a new iPhone!  I had been thinking about getting one for a while but had actually decided against it.  Then I dropped my old phone and cracked the screen so I guess the decision was made for me.  I love it.... and so do the kids!  They play a few games on my mom's iPad so I got the same games on my phone and they love it.   :-)

Just an adorable bath pic from one night that week

I actually got to stay home with the kids again on Friday which was nice.  That morning we did a little Valentine's craft and enjoyed some extra fingerpainting time afterwards!  They loved this and it actually went pretty well.  Might have to do that more often - they loved it!

Friday afternoon, I took them to school for Noah's Valentine's party.  He was so excited for this and almost went to school the whole day for it.  I 'encouraged' him to stay home with me and promised I'd take him for the party.  He didn't want leave afterwards though!  :-)

After the party, we met Megan and Ryan at the park and then met Waylon and Jason out for dinner afterwards (a pretty typical Friday night for us!).  :-)

Saturday afternoon while Kylie was napping, I took Noah to meet Amy and Stella Dot at the park.  It was nice to see them again and they played so well together and Amy and I just got to sit and chat which was a nice treat!

Later that afternoon, Megan, Jason, Ryan and Megan A. came over for playtime and dinner.  Such a fun time!

Megan and Kylie checking out one of the blog books (as you can see, Ryan is getting a little brother soon!)

Cutie Ryan!
Megan A. brought cookies and icing and sprinkles to decorate them.  The kids had a ball doing this!!   Such a great idea.

Ryan wasn't too interested in decorating and just wanted the cookie.  :-)

Then some dress up!
Today, we did some catch up stuff around the house and while Kylie and I napped together (I'm not feeling so great right now), Waylon took Noah bowling.  They had a great time (no pictures)!

Later this afternoon, Nana and Grandaddy came over for dinner.  They brought the kids Valentine's goody bags (they got Valentine's care packages from Grammy and Papa, too!!).  These kids are so loved....
